As the season begins to head toward the home stretch, the most notable thing about this season has been the injuries. One might hope that the point of discussion would be the undefeated Green Bay Packers or the emergence of the Detroit Lions, but most fans are talking about the sudden rash of injuries that have plagued the sport in the last month.
Injuries are nothing new to football, but what is remarkable is that the most recent significant injuries have all effected quarterbacks. Matt Cassel, Jay Cutler and Matt Schaub are all done for the year after suffering injuries in a seven day span. Chad Henne was placed on injured reserve earlier this year, Michael Vick has been in the trainer’s room so frequently that he is eligible for a discount and we have not seen Peyton Manning at all after his neck problems.
So what is the cause for these injuries? Is it really that unusual? The answer is wear and tear over the course of a season. Its not unusual for quarterbacks to miss games like this. It stands out because of the sudden rash of names that all went out at once, but otherwise its quite common. It sets up some very interesting potential for the end of the season and playoffs as well, creating some sorely needed drama.

Battlefield 3 Celebrates Launch With Record Breaking Tournament

Set to kick off in early 2012, the Battlefield 3 Worldwide Conquest Tournament has been dubbed the biggest console videogame competition in history. To celebrate the October 25 launch of the highly anticipated first-person shooter game, DICE and Virgin Gaming announced that players from across the world will be able to compete against each other for $1.6 million in cash prizes. While attempting to locate and rescue a US squad investigating a possible chemical weapons site, a five-man squad led by SSgt Blackburn is caught in a massive earthquake centered in Iran. The missions will take players through diverse locations including Paris, Tehran and New York. Players will have the opportunity to assume the roles of either Assault, Support, Engineer or Recon, and engage in combat on urban streets, downtown metropolitan areas and open landscapes designed for combat vehicles.

Raymond Lesniak was born on May 7, 1946. He is a lawyer by profession and works under the Weiner Lesniak Law Firm. Politically speaking, he is an elected senator coming from the American Democratic Party. Presently, he sits as the Chairman of the Economic Growth Committee and as Vice Chair of the Commerce Committee. He is also a part of the Legislative Services Commission and the Legislative Oversight Committee. Senator Lesniak also took a seat in the Judiciary Committee.

After Governor Christie vetoed the bill that the senator has introduced on online gambling, he is set to reintroduce it earlier this week. He has announced that he will be reintroducing the legislation on online betting and gambling which he has authored. The bill was previously vetoed which has generated a $200 million worth of profits from the casino industry including the online betting.
